The benefits of participating in a clinical trial are that you get access to treatments which doctors often believe may be better than the standard treatment that you cannot otherwise get outside of a clinical trial.

Also, you have access to some drugs that are not yet approved by the FDA, which may benefit you and your cancer.

Another benefit of a clinical trial is that your follow-up with your doctors is often very regimented and must follow a strict guideline. Therefore, you may get seen by your doctors more frequently than you ordinarily would.

Finally, clinical trials not only benefit you but the information we gather from them will help thousands of other women diagnosed with breast cancer in the future.
