I’ve heard from friends that preparation for a colonoscopy is rather unpleasant. What do I need to do before my colonoscopy?

Typically, the day before the colonoscopy appointment, you will be maintained on a clear liquid diet for the entire day. It is very important to comply with a clear liquid diet, as eating any solid food will create stool buildup in the colon, making it difficult for your doctor to properly examine your colon during the colonoscopy.
