I am 35 years old and had a Whipple 3 years ago for a tumor of my pancreas, I was wondering about pregnancy after having this procedure? Is it safe? What are the complications and risks?

There is no known contraindication to pregnancy after the Whipple procedure, though a brief review of the literature does not show that much has been written on this subject. This is likely because the majority of patients having the Whipple procedure are beyond their reproductive years. I would suggest consultation with your obstetrician regarding specific health issues relevant to you.
