Application Process

The Application Process

All applications must be received by October 15, 2008. Finalists will be invited to Philadelphia for a formal interview. The selected Fellow(s) will be announced by early December and will be expected to arrive on campus in early July.

Situation/Case:

You are the Chief Operating Officer at a 400-bed urban hospital. At a quarterly operations meeting, the Chief Medical Officer reports the intensive care units have experienced a dramatic increase in hospital-acquired infections. Describe, in one page or less, how you would begin to investigate the problem and implement potential solutions.
