Jefferson’s Center for Vascular Diseases offers an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis, management and treatment
of vascular diseases (diseases of blood vessels) and thrombotic (blood-clotting) disorders.
Working closely with Jefferson’s Divisions of Cardiology, Cardiovascular/Interventional Radiology (CVIR) and Vascular Surgery
and Department of Neurosurgery, the Center for Vascular Diseases strives to:
-
Provide comprehensive patient care, helping effectively manage and prevent vascular diseases and thrombotic disorders,
-
Conduct research to advance knowledge and treatment of vascular diseases and thrombotic disorders, and
-
Educate patients and healthcare providers about anticoagulation therapies (which help thin the blood to prevent clotting).
In addition to an overview of the services and treatments and patient education we provide, this website also provides a step-by-step
guide to what to expect if you or someone you care about becomes a patient of the program. It also highlights our involvement
in clinical research, translational research and clinical education.
