Safety and Landing Zone Information

JeffSTAT’s services should be summoned when time is critical and/or when an advanced level of medical expertise is needed. This includes:

  • Unconsciousness
  • Shock
  • Head injury with decreased consciousness
  • Chest trauma with respiratory distress
  • Penetrating injuries to the body cavity
  • Multi-systems trauma
  • Definitive airway control needed
  • Amputations proximal to the hand or foot
  • Burns to the face or over 10% of the body
  • High-risk obstetrics
  • Neonatal and pediatric emergencies
  • Time-dependent cardiac intervention (PTCA, thrombolysis)
  • Physiologic monitoring (A-line, Swanz-Ganz, or ICP)
  • Fetal monitoring
  • Advanced pharmacological intervention, including antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, paralytics, sedatives and narcotics
  • External life support devices – including ventilators, pacemakers, intra-aortic balloon pump and ventricular assist devices
