Methodist offers a full continuum of rehabilitation programs in South Philadelphia, including: hospital-based acute inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and subacute care at the Methodist Hospital Nursing Center.

Our goal is to help each patient maximize his or her highest level of function. Our experienced interdisciplinary team develops personalized programs to help restore optimal independence and return patients to their homes and communities. We also encourage family participation in goal setting and the rehabilitation process.

Rehabilitation patients work one-on-one with therapists but also benefit from group activities. We provide a therapeutic environment in which patients receive the clinical, psychological and social support needed to adjust to new challenges.

The dedicated rehabilitation team includes:

  • Physiatrists (Rehabilitation Doctors)
  • Rehabilitation Nurses
  • Physical Therapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Speech Language Pathologists
  • Social Workers
  • Psychologists
  • Clinical Nutritionists
  • Therapeutic Recreation Specialists

When prescribed by a physician, Methodist’s cost-effective rehabilitation programs are easy to access.
