Outpatient Rehabilitation
Outpatient
physical and occupational therapy helps patients:
- Regain endurance and strength
- Overcome weakness and limitations
- Accomplish everyday activities, such as self care and
household tasks
Physical and occupational therapy programs help patients
recover from:
orthopedic injury, such as sprains, strains, or broken
bones neurological impairments, resulting from stroke or
other conditions
Speech therapy helps patients improve:
- Language comprehension or expression
- Loss of speech, stuttering or articulation
- Swallowing ability
- Speech therapy is available for pediatric and adult patients.
Patients
who are discharged from Methodist Hospital will have the opportunity
to be followed by the same rehabilitation doctor on an outpatient
basis.
