Methodist Hospital to hold Nutrition Programs During National Nutrition Month

The Methodist Hospital Division of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital will sponsor a series of free nutrition lectures and cooking demonstrations during the month of March to celebrate National Nutrition Month.

At each session, staff nutritionists will work with Methodist Chef Anthony Molino to prepare foods that are appropriate to the topic. All meetings will be held in the Morgan Conference Center, on the basement level of Methodist Hospital at 2101 S. Broad Street.

Boning Up with Calcium
Date: Friday March 9
Time: 11 a.m. to noon
Topics: Calcium needs for men and women, how to keep your bones strong and the best foods to eat to ensure you get enough calcium.

Spring Forward to a Healthy You
Date: Friday, March 16
Time: 11 a.m. to noon
Topics: Healthy eating and cooking, exercise tips, all about fad diets and weight-loss tips.

Beat the Heat: Body Basics
Date: Friday, March 23
Time: 11 a.m. to noon
Topics: Healthy hydration, vitamins and minerals, food safety tips for spring and summer.
