Features free health screenings and advice
just for women
Women of all ages are invited to a special Womens Health
Day at Methodist Hospital on Tuesday, April 16, from 9 a.m.
to 1 p.m. This exclusive day for women will offer an assortment
of screenings ranging from glucose and cholesterol to risk
assessments for osteoporosis, breast cancer and stroke. In
addition, attendees will receive advice on important topics
such as diabetes education and prenatal care. There will also
be tours of the Family Birth Center. Health screenings and
advice at the Methodist Womens Health Day include:
- Glucose screenings and cholesterol screenings
- Learn the right way to do a breast self-examination
- Breast cancer, osteoporosis and stroke -- the risks
- Diabetes education
- Prenatal education
- All about bladder fitness
- Free seated massages
A highlight of Womens Health Day will be free Dexascan
screenings, available by reservation only. This is a bone
density analysis to test for osteoporosis. Availability is
limited; call 215-952-1234 for an appointment.
A free brunch will be offered along with door prizes and other
giveaways.
The Methodist Hospital Women's Health Day will take place
in the hospitals Morgan Conference Center, 2301 So.
