Community Health Fair at Methodist Hospital
Annual event features free health screenings and entertainment
Bring the kids and family for an educational, fun-filled
Saturday. There will be plenty of games and a variety of health
screenings for you and your family to enjoy!
Whatever you choose, the annual Methodist Hospital Health
Fair on Saturday, May 11, offers a good time for the entire
family. Running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., it's a full day of
free fun, education and entertainment.
Entertainment will include the Avalon String Band, a childrens
talent contest and the musical group, Purple Reign. With health
screenings including cholesterol and glucose screening; head,
neck and mouth evaluations; foot exams; PSA testing to determine
prostate cancer risk; and blood pressure checks by health
professionals from Methodist and Thomas Jefferson University
hospitals, this is certainly a day for the whole family.
WOGL radio personality Bob Pantano will be taping throughout
the day for "Happenings," his television program.
Family activities include balloon sculpture, cookie decorating,
face painting, pictures with Shrek and Bob the Builder and
more.
