The GI Endoscopy Center at Methodist Hospital
Healthcare Services > Gastroenterology and Hepatology > GI Endoscopy Center

Highly skilled gastroenterologists and a dedicated staff of nurses and technicians provide the latest in in- and outpatient gastrointestinal endoscopic care at Methodist’s new GI Endoscopy Center, located on the hospital’s second floor.

The Center offers patients the convenience and ease of a private registration and family waiting area, a physician consultation room and a spacious recovery unit with natural light.

Our procedure rooms are complete with state-of-the-art technology, including high definition endoscopes that use white light and narrow band imaging capabilities which, together, help the gastroenterologist assess the lining of the GI tract as well as the local blood vessels. These technologies have improved the detection and diagnosis of abnormal tissue, polyps and cancers earlier in the disease process, and can allow patients the opportunity for minimally invasive treatments.

The GI Endoscopy Center at Methodist Hospital is staffed by a dedicated, experienced team of specially trained physicians, nurses and technicians. Anesthesia care is provided by the Department of Anesthesiology, which uses the safest, most effective sedation practices and medications for each individual patient.
