Methodist Hospital’s Department of Pastoral Care provides emotional support and spiritual care to patients, families and staff.
Upon registration at the hospital, patients are provided information explaining our Department’s services. Each will be asked if they wish to be identified with a particular religious tradition during their stay. This identification simply helps the Department of Pastoral Care to better coordinate each individual’s religious and/or cultural requirements.
Members of our Department may check in on patients, as well as family members, throughout their time at Methodist to further accommodate emotional, spiritual and cultural needs. Patients or their families may request our support at any time.
The Department of Pastoral Care is staffed by a full-time Director/Chaplain, a Chaplain’s Assistant and a Pastoral Assistant, along with trained volunteer clergy and laypeople.

Bereavement Support Group
