DEPARTMENT OF NEUROLOGY

About Us

Jefferson has a full-service neurology department. Leading neurologists deliver comprehensive care for a wide variety of neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementia and movement disorders.

The department’s clinicians take full advantage of contemporary electrophysiological testing (the use of electricity on various parts of the nervous system to test proper functioning) and the entire range of advanced-technology neuroimaging diagnostics (techniques for visualizing the brain in order to detect disorders).

Special care efforts are focused in the areas of neuromuscular diseases (diseases related to muscles and nerves), headache, neurogenetics (genetic factors that contribute to the development of neurological disorders), stroke and epilepsy.

For information about specific physicians in this department, or for a referral or appointment, call 1-800-JEFF-NOW or make an  appointment online.
