Wingspan™ Stent System – A new tube designed and inserted to open potentially life-threatening clogged arteries in the brain,
preventing a stroke. Jefferson neurosurgeons are among the first in the nation to use it successfully.

“Coiling” of aneurysms – Snaking of tiny platinum coils through a catheter in the femoral artery and into the aneurysm in
order to stabilize the aneurysm and prevent any rupturing, which could result in stroke or even death. Jefferson neurosurgeons
