Comprehensive Epilepsy Center
Coping with seizures can be a strain on daily living for patients and families. As an internationally recognized Center of
Excellence, Jefferson Comprehensive Epilepsy Center takes a comprehensive approach to treating people with seizures. Care
provided at the Center includes complete and thorough diagnostic services to assess how epilepsy is affecting one's life as
well as to determine cognitive symptoms. Patients have access to renowned neurologists, neuropsychologists and neurosurgeons
who work together to improve the quality of life for both patients and families.
The center is also committed to education. We offer community educational conferences for patients and families as well as
participate in organizing various programs and conferences presented by The Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania. In

The Jefferson Comprehensive Epilepsy Center has been recognized as a place for the "Best Care in Philadelphia" by Philadelphia
Magazine in its Top Hospitals issue (May 2003). It was noted that the center "performs up to 100 procedures a year, making
it one of the three largest in the country."
