Free Screening for Alcohol Dependence at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, April 8
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is providing a free health screening for anyone with questions or concerns related to
alcohol dependence, as part of National Alcohol Screening Day on Thursday, April 8. The screening day is designed to raise
public awareness about alcohol’s effect on general health.
The brief screening will involve a private, confidential and individualized meeting with a health-care professional who will
ask questions about drinking patterns. Feedback will also be provided about the degree of risk associated with alcohol abuse,
as well as recommendations. If treatment is needed, a referral will be made.
National Alcohol Screening Day is sponsored by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).
