In observance of World Infertility Month, a free “Lunch and Learn” informational series on infertility and reproductive options will be held each week in June at Women’s Health Source at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Center City. Physicians from Pennsylvania Reproductive Associates will discuss the following topics:
  • “If You Just Relax, Adopt, Etc., Do You Really Get Pregnant?”
    Friday, June 4, with Benjamin Gocial, M.D.

    Dr. Gocial is a clinical assistant professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and a physician at the Center for Reproductive Medicine, Thomas Jefferson University. He has published and co-authored numerous articles and abstracts, and has lectured nationally and internationally on infertility, menopause and reproductive technology topics.

  • “There Must Be 50 Ways to Pregnancy”
    Wednesday, June 9, with Frances R. Batzer, M.D.

    Dr. Batzer is a clinical professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. With more than 25 years’ experience in the field, she is widely recognized for her participation and positions in many related professional organizations. Dr. Batzer is also a physician at the Center for Reproductive Medicine, Thomas Jefferson University.

  • “Egg Donation”
    Tuesday, June 15, with Maureen P. Kelly, M.D.

    Dr. Kelly is a clinical associate professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and director of the in vitro fertilization (IVF) program at Pennsylvania Reproductive Associates. Her studies, published in national peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences, have explored the correlation between lifestyle and health at various stages of the life cycle.

  • “Alternative Medicine and Infertility Treatment”
    Wednesday, June 23, with Jacqueline N. Gutmann, M.D.

    Dr. Gutmann, a clinical associate professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, is active in several local, national and international professional organizations. She has published numerous articles on infertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome and assisted reproductive technology. Dr. Gutmann is also a physician at the Center for Reproductive Medicine, Thomas Jefferson University.

Women's Health Source at Jefferson University Hospital is committed to improving the quality of life for all women in the community through easy access to prevention and wellness programs, educational resources, social services, medical therapies and research. The Women’s Health Source staff includes a registered nurse who is available for private consultations.
