Has your child been diagnosed with asthma? Does your child cough, wheeze or have trouble breathing? If so, the physicians at duPont at Jefferson are offering a fun and free Asthma Education Day on Saturday, Nov. 13.

This special asthma program is designed to help children and their parents learn more about this all-too-common condition and how to manage it. Booths staffed by physicians will offer kid-friendly asthma facts, videos, games and vital information about asthma treatments, peak flow meters, nebulizers and more.
Asthmatic children will also receive free flu shots.

An Asthma Day highlight will be a live rap performance by No Puff Daddy, a youth health educator and inspirational rap artist.  His performance is tentatively scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.  In addition, children can tour the Asthma Bus, the popular asthma education center on wheels. A British double-decker bus filled with cartoon characters, lively graphics and information, the Asthma Bus visits Philadelphia public schools to delight and teach students about asthma.

Refreshments, including pizza and beverages, will be served.

The free Asthma Education Day will run from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday,    Nov. 13, at the Children's Health Center of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, 833 Chestnut Street, third floor, in Center City Philadelphia.
