Kristen Adelman, a three-time lymphoma survivor and a member of cancer survivor and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong’s Tour of Hope, will talk about her experiences on the week-long inspirational cycling journey at the sixth annual “Celebration of Life” gathering. The event, hosted by the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson, is set for Wednesday, May 25, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The accomplished triathelete and marathon runner, along with cancer survivors treated at the Kimmel Cancer Center, will address more than 100 survivors and their families at the celebration to be held in the Bluemle Life Sciences Building, on the campus of Thomas Jefferson University, 233 S. 10th St., Philadelphia. The annual "Celebration of Life" honors the lives and accomplishments of all cancer survivors.

The event will feature an interactive health expo where guests will have the opportunity to obtain information and ask questions of the staff from the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine and health professionals from Thomas Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

The celebration will also feature an exhibit of art and poetry by cancer survivors and family members, music, complimentary massages, yoga demonstrations, health screenings and nutrition tips.
