BreastCARE at Jefferson

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women.

Learn what your risk is for breast cancer. Attend a free seminar at Thomas Jefferson University sponsored by the division of Genetic and Preventive Medicine.

The 60-minute sessions will include information about:

  • understanding breast cancer risk factors
  • the genetics of breast cancer and genetic testing
  • screening and risk reduction measures.

They will be offered on the following dates:

  • Thursday, February 16, noon - 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday, February 28, 6 - 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 1, noon - 1 p.m.

Referrals to screening services will be provided at each session. The goal of these hour- long discussions is for each attendee to gain a healthier understanding of their individual risks, and become mindful of the risk reduction measures accessible to them.

All sessions will be held in room 105 of the Bluemle Life Sciences Building, 233 South 10 th Street. To register, call 1-800-JEFF-NOW.
