Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Expands its Service to South Jersey
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (Jefferson) of Philadelphia has forged a relationship with the Betty and Milton Katz
Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Cherry Hill, NJ, to bring its specialized world-class health and wellness programs to members
of the JCC and the residents of Southern Jersey.
Already an established community leader in providing educational, cultural and recreational activities to thousands of people
in Southern Jersey, the Katz JCC’s new relationship with Jefferson will further expand its ability to meet needs for health
education.
“We are delighted to have Jefferson join us,” said Richard B. Charny, Esq., JCC President. “We are about to expand—in fact
almost doubling the size of—our Davis Health and Fitness Complex, so it makes perfect sense to establish a relationship with
a health care leader like Jefferson.”
Thomas J. Lewis, President and Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, stated that Jefferson has had
strong ties to South Jersey over the years. “So many of our physicians live in Southern New Jersey. We’re already caring for
thousands of patients at our Jefferson Center City and Voorhees locations. This collaboration with the JCC is a great way
to enhance our level of service.”
