A free seminar to assist men in understanding what a woman goes through when she is pregnant and how her pregnancy affects him will be held at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. 

The staff of the Intensive Care Nursery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital sees first hand how pregnancy and giving birth not only affects the woman carrying the baby, but her family and friends as well.  Men of all ages are encouraged to attend this informative workshop.

Additional topics regarding men’s health will also be discussed.  Topics including sexually transmitted diseases, prostate health, the pros and cons of Viagra, plastic surgery and various prevention strategies for diabetes, heart attacks and strokes will be discussed.

Among the Jefferson Hospital specialists that will speak at the seminar are Theodore Corbin, M.D., Department of Emergency Medicine; Dan DeJoseph, M.D., Department of Family and Community Medicine; Ruth Frank, M.D., Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior; Thomas Kline, M.D., Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology; John Moore, M.D., Plastic Surgeon; and Perry Weiner, M.D., Department of Urology.
