What Pregnancy is Like -- A Women’s Perspective
A free seminar to assist a woman to better understand what her body and mind will experience during pregnancy is being offered
at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
The staff of the Intensive Care Nursery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital sees first hand how pregnancy and giving birth
affects women, as well as their families and friends. The free seminar will teach women how to handle the changes that the
mind and body will experience during and after pregnancy. Women of all ages are encouraged to attend this event.
Additional topics regarding women’s health including sexually transmitted diseases, breast cancer, depression, plastic surgery
and various prevention strategies for diabetes, heart attacks and strokes will be discussed.
Jefferson Hospital specialists from the departments of Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Family
Medicine, and Emergency Medicine will speak at the seminar.
