Jefferson Offers First Real Time Perioperative Nursing Recruitment Webcast in Philadelphia Region
Joan Lunden to host 60-minute interactive roundtable discussion
Students, nurses and members of the public are invited to join a real time perioperative nursing recruitment roundtable discussion
on the web on Thursday, November 15 at 6 p.m. Simply go to www.JeffersonNursing.org/webcast.
Presented by Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals (Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience,
and Methodist Hospital) and moderated by television host, journalist, and author Joan Lunden, the internet broadcast will
offer a look at the exciting perioperative nursing opportunities available at Jefferson. Viewers will hear firsthand from
Jefferson nurses, physicians and administrators what it is like to work in this specialized nursing field, especially at a
major tertiary care facility. Jane C. Rothrock, RN, DNSc, CNOR, FAAN, professor and director of Perioperative Programs at
Delaware Valley Community College in Media, Pa., will also offer insight into the future of the discipline.

in which to live, and Jefferson as a state-of-the-art O.R. environment in which to practice,” said Mary Ann McGinley, PhD,
RN, senior vice president of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer, Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. “The goal
is to showcase our three unique, technologically advanced facilities in order to attract a diverse, highly skilled workforce.”
