Two Jefferson Medical College Faculty Named to New Leadership Positions at Jefferson’s Kimmel Cancer Center

been named to new leadership positions at Jefferson’s Kimmel Cancer Center. Erik S. Knudsen, Ph.D., former Scientific Director
of the University of Cincinnati Barrett Cancer Center, has been named Deputy Director, Research. Bone marrow transplant expert
Neal Flomenberg, M.D., interim chair and professor of Medical Oncology at Jefferson Medical College, has been named Deputy
Director, Clinical Science.
Thomas Jefferson University Choir and Orchestra Perform Free Holiday Concert
(Published 12-4-2007) The Thomas Jefferson University Choir and Orchestra will present their 38th Annual Holiday Concert on
Friday, December 14, 2007, at 8 p.m., featuring the Christmas portion of G.F. Handel’s Messiah, as well as other carols of
the season.
The concert is FREE and open-to-the-public and will be held at The Church of St. Luke and the Epiphany, 330 South 13 Street,
between Pine and Spruce Streets.
Robert T. Sataloff, M.D., D.M.A, professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Jefferson Medical College, founded and
directs the choir, which is comprised of Jefferson physicians, nurses, students, alumni, employees, patients and spouses.

invasive technique that could dramatically improve patients’ chances of survival. A national study being directed by a vascular
surgeon at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is exploring a new minimally invasive method that could spare patients the
trauma and risk of open chest surgery.
