Dr. Newberg Study on Health Benefits of Spa Stays Featured in The Hollywood Reporter
A study led by Dr. Andrew Newberg, director of research at the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine, reveals that a week-long spa stay has a number of health benefits.
The Hollywood Reporter highlights this research in a recent piece discussing popular fitness regimens and spa locations among the Hollywood crowd.
According to Dr. Newberg, "The longer a person reduces their stresses and maintains a healthy lifestyle and diet, the better." However, even a week stay can result in an average loss of 6.8 pounds as well as a notable decrease in blood pressure and tension.
