Reuters Health Covers Jefferson Medical Oncologist's Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Study
A recent online paper published in Cancer and led by Jefferson medical oncologist Mark Weiss, MD, reveals that in adults with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), some treatment plans work better than others in the short term, but long-term results even out and new drugs are necessary for any significant advancements.
A Reuters Health article about the study further explains that despite notable improvement in the outcomes for pediatric patients with ALL, the same success has not been realized for adults.
