The faculty members of this Division have expertise in treating women with urinary incontinence (loss of urine without control)
and pelvic organ prolapse (dropped bladders, wombs, and rectums), two very common conditions affecting women ages 35 and older.
Although not life-threatening, these conditions can greatly interfere with a woman's quality of life, restricting both her
physical and social activities, while causing great emotional distress. The Division's specialists present both non-surgical
and surgical treatment options to women who seek help so that they can make the most informed choice that would best fit their
needs and lifestyle.
The Division's specialists are very active members of the American Urogynecologic Society, a national leader in education
and research in incontinence and prolapse, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
