Course Overview
This symposium has been organized to honor Dr. Lionel Gold, former Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, as a gesture of gratitude for his many contributions to the specialty, as well as his commitment to resident education. Dr. Gold is well-known as an educator, author, and researcher. We invite you to join us in this celebration of an illustrious career.

Objectives
Following the completion of the program, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the behavior of the aggressive odontogenic keratocyst 
  • Describe the surgical management of the aggressive odontogenic keratocyst 
  • Discuss the optimal surgical management of the solid, multicystic ameloblastoma of the jaws
  • Understand the role of radiation therapy in the treatment of ameloblastoma
