On Saturday, May 31, 2008, nearly 100 of SAP Americas’ employees, family members and friends gathered for the first annual SAP Family 5K Walk/Run. As a partner in the fight against pancreatic cancer and its related diseases, SAP organized the 5K to raise awareness and support for detection, diagnosis and treatment.  All funds raised at the 5K were generously donated to the Pancreatic Cancer and Related Disease Research Fund to support the leading-edge research initiatives currently underway at Jefferson.

SAP Americas is a subsidiary of SAP AG, the world's largest business software company and the third-largest software supplier overall.  SAP Americas' corporate headquarters is located in Newtown Square, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia.

Jefferson is grateful to the leadership of SAP Americas for spearheading this initiative and to the employees and their families for their participation and support.
