First Annual Patient Symposium and Luncheon

On October 31, 2006, Charles J. Yeo, M.D., Samuel D. Gross Professor and Chairman of the Department of Surgery, hosted a symposium for patients with pancreatic and related cancer. Each year, more than 32,000 people are affected by pancreatic cancer nationwide.

The 81 patients and family members in attendance received a comprehensive update on the innovative techniques for detection, prevention, and treatment of these cancers, and were introduced to the exciting research Dr. Yeo and his multidisciplinary team conduct at Jefferson. Read more about the symposium in our newsletter.
