Good nutrition is key to good health and an important part of your treatment. Your doctor may order either a regular diet
or a special diet suited to your needs or medical condition. If you have any questions about why you are on a special diet,
ask your nurse or doctor.
Each day you’ll be given a menu with your breakfast tray to fill out for the following day’s meals. A food service representative
will be in by 10 a.m. to collect your menu selections. Remember that the food choices you make today will be served to you
tomorrow.
If you have special requests due to cultural, religious or personal preferences, such as snacks, kosher meals, vegetarian
meals, or guest trays, just ask the food service representative to make arrangements for you.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Lunch is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and dinner starts at 4:45 p.m. and ends at 6
p.m. If you are out of your room for a procedure or test when meals were served, ask your nurse if you are allowed to eat.
The nurse will call for the meal to be delivered to you.
