WELCOME

TO THE DIVISION OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAMS

Thomas Jefferson University's Division of Substance Abuse Programs was founded in 1972 with the goal in mind of helping those who struggle with substance abuse problems find care through an organization they already know and trust, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. The Division firmly believes in providing the best of care to each and every patient and approaches addiction as a bio-psycho-social-spiritual disease This means that it impacts each person and their families on a number of levels: physical health, mental health, emotional well-being, social relationships, and spiritual connectedness.

For over 35 years we have been helping individuals and families find the courage to heal from alcoholism, drug addiction, heroin dependency, cocaine addiction, and prescription medication abuse and move toward recovery. The Division is comprised of three separate outpatient substance abuse programs that each provide a different focus of care depending on individual treatment needs.
