Outpatient geriatric assessment is provided by geriatricians from the department of family medicine and board-certified geriatric psychiatrists from the department of psychiatry and human behavior at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. The 1-1/2 hour evaluation involves taking a medical and social history, with office testing administered as need indicates. Additional tests may also be required.  At the conclusion of the assessment, the physician makes recommendations.
