If you are interested in information about a radiology exam you or a family member/friend is going to have, we suggest you
go to the website of a major national radiology organization, the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
This will bring you to a page entitled “Welcome to Radiology Info”. Shortly below this, you will find a drop-down menu entitled
“Diagnostic Radiology”. This lists all different types of diagnostic exams – radiography (x-rays), mammography, MRI, CT, ultrasound,
angiography, etc. Highlight the type of exam you are interested in, then click on “Go”. You will then be provided with extensive
information about that exam, written in easy-to-read, non-medical terminology.
