The Bodine Center for Cancer Treatment is the region's busiest radiation oncology center. Serving as the hub of the activities
of the Department of Radiation Oncology, the center focuses the collaborative efforts of highly accomplished radiation oncologists,
surgeons, medical oncologists and other specialists in leading-edge cancer treatments including radiation implants, high-dose
remote afterloading, intraoperative radiation therapy and hyperthermia. At the center, electron and photon-beam treatment
is afforded by two six-megavolt and two 25-megavolt linear accelerators with full three-dimensional treatment planning and
delivery capacity.
Established in 1987, the center is also home to the Kimmel Cancer Center's outpatient infusion center and its multidisciplinary
cancer clinics for patients with cancers of the lung genitourinary tract, breast and head and neck region.
