of intensive inpatient rehabilitative services. The unit is located in Center City (23 beds). The General Rehabilitation Program
offered at both campuses serves adults with neurologic, orthopedic, oncological, medical or surgical impairments and/or disabilities.
The Spinal Cord Injury Program at Center City is part of the Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of the Delaware Valley.
The goal of the program is to maximize the functional independence of the persons served and transition them to the community.
The unit’s interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists,
speech language pathologists, social workers/case managers, psychologists and recreational therapists provides high-quality
care. The team has a broad complement of skilled consultants available who can provide monitoring and treatment during the
period of rehabilitation.
The Comprehensive Acute Rehabilitation Unit is nationally accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation
Facilities for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation (Center City and Methodist Hospital) and Spinal Cord System
of Care (Center City).
