The Osteoporosis Prevention and Treatment Center, established in 1992, was the first in the region. With its state of the art DEXA technology and expert staff, the Center became nationally renowned and has contributed to the development of all the currently FDA approved osteoporosis treatments. At his Bala-Cynwyd location our physicians provide consultations services for patients with osteoporosis and related conditions, and perform DEXA bone densitometry as well as vertebral fracture assessment, a key tool in the assessment of osteoporosis severity. The Center also has a state of the art Infusion Room for the administration of intravenous osteoporosis medications. Consultation services on osteoporosis and medication infusions are also provided at our Center City offices.
