The Scleroderma Clinic in the Division of Rheumatology offers an exceptional level of clinical care on this prevalent and debilitating disease, as well as on Raynaud's disease and related disorders. Staffed by physicians who are well renowned in their field, the Clinic was created to treat scleroderma patients with established medical therapies as well as providing the patients with the option of enrolling in clinical research. Patients receive coordinate evaluation and treatment with faculty from other divisions and departments, as scleroderma involves multiple organ systems. The center is involved in clinical research projects aimed at discovering the cause of the disease and finding effective treatments. The Division of Rheumatology's Scleroderma Clinic participates in national and international clinical trials of the latest therapies for the disease, including bone marrow transplantation.
