Health and Wellness Facilities

At Jefferson, we care about our employees’ health and well-being. Jefferson employees are welcome to become members of the University Commons, an on-site exercise and recreational facility with low-cost membership fees. The Commons is located in Jefferson Alumni Hall and has a full-size swimming pool, racquetball, squash and basketball courts, weightlifting facilities, cardio-equipment, aerobics classes, as well as fitness testing and personal training. The Commons also has a sauna, massage services, and mind-body classes such as Chinese qigong, yoga, and t’ai chi. The gym is also available for intramural sports.

The Health Awareness Program
The Health Awareness Program of Jefferson Hospital offers additional opportunities to workout and keep healthy, with classes available to Jefferson employees, students, and the community at large. Classes include “bootcamp,” weightlifting, low- and high-impact aerobics and yoga.
