Mission
The Specialized Residency in Infectious Diseases is designed to develop expert knowledge and skills in the area of infectious diseases. This will be achieved through participation in multidisciplinary and independent pharmacy patient care activities combined with teaching and research opportunities within the realm of infectious diseases.

Specialized Residency in Infectious Diseases Outcomes
Upon completion of this program residents will:

  • Be competent independent practitioners providing pharmaceutical care to patients with problems related to infectious diseases.
  • Be proficient in formulary management and in antibiotic surveillance methods.
  • Be able to describe methods of antimicrobial susceptibility testing and infection control.
  • Demonstrate an ability to design and implement clinical research.
  • Be effective educators.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills.
