Mission
The goal of the Post Graduate Year 1 Residency in Pharmacy Practice is directed toward developing expert knowledge and skills in the clinical areas of pharmacy practice. All of our residents gain experience in designing and conducting clinical research and actively participate in Jefferson's extensive teaching programs.

Pharmacy Practice Residency Outcomes
Graduates of the Residency in Pharmacy Practice at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital will:

  • Manage and improve the medication use process
  • Provide evidence-based, patient-centered medication therapy management with interdisciplinary teams
  • Exercise leadership and practice management skills
  • Demonstrate project management skills
  • Provide medication and practice-related education and training
  • Utilize medical informatics
  • Research, analyze, and effectively communicate drug information
  • Develop social awareness through delivery of pharmaceutical care to underserved populations
