Working in the Nuclear Medicine Division "Nuclear medicine combines my interest in science and technology together with doing a service to the community. I feel that I have to do something good for humanity, so this satisfies both sides. It is technologically challenging and also very interesting. You can get as involved in the technology as you like. I came to Jefferson because I wanted to move to a hospital that had academic interests, that was larger, that had a variety of studies and had a lot more to offer. Our Department provides a diagnostic imaging service for both inpatients at Jefferson and a large population of outpatients. From time to time, we become involved in clinical trials, working with the pharmaceutical industry to help develop new and better products. Personally, I think I've had opportunities here at Jefferson that I wouldn't have elsewhere. I do feel I've been allowed to make my own niche."
