About Dr. Maley
Dr. Maley graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed all of his surgical training at the
Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Following residency he received fellowship training in both Gastrointestinal
Surgery and multi-organ transplantation also at Hopkins. Dr. Maley has been involved in the development of multiple strategies
for the expansion of organ transplantation to serve a greater number of patients in need. While on staff at Hopkins he initiated
the Adult Live Donor Liver Transplant Program in 1998. He was a member of the team performing Kidney Paired Donation Swaps
for the transplantation of incompatible donor and recipient pairs. His recent research has focused upon use of extended criteria
