Experienced nephrologists (kidney specialists) and transplant surgeons staff Jefferson’s extensive Kidney Transplantation Surgery Program. Our specialists work in close coordination to provide the best team-care possible and to match the right recipient with an available donor organ.

The Kidney Transplantation Team includes

  • transplant surgeons
  • transplant coordinators
  • social workers
  • a financial coordinator, and
  • other physician specialists

Patients benefit from our Program's multidisciplinary approach by having access to various experts who guide the patients and their families from evaluation through post-operative recovery. We also provide long-term follow-up care through clinic visits and monitored laboratory studies. We believe our detailed follow-up care contributes to the program's high success rate.

Our Team continues to search for new ways to assist patients in seeking a better quality of life through kidney transplant. Find out more about our research.
