Prostatectomy

Jefferson Urologists were the first in the Delaware Valley to offer minimally invasive laparoscopic prostatectomy. If surgery is recommended surgery to treat your prostate cancer, you may be a candidate for a new advance in the laparoscopic technique called the da Vinci® Prostatectomy. This new approach to laparoscopic prostatectomy provides access to the internal anatomy through five small incisions and the surgeon uses a robot system to complete the procedure. The da Vinci® surgical robot system empowers the surgeon to perform a very precise, nerve-sparing operation.
