Thursday, October 18, at 4:30 p.m.
Replay version available beginning October 19

Treatment options for women with breast cancer have changed a great deal over the years. For many years, a woman’s only option was to have a radical mastectomy no matter what stage of breast cancer she had. Today, women have many different choices for their treatment. Even the choice to have a mastectomy no longer requires an extensive or disfiguring procedure.

As a special educational offering, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital will rebroadcast a webcast on breast cancer treatment. You will have an opportunity to view Jefferson surgeons perform a modified radical mastectomy and latissimus dorsi reconstruction as well as review the latest information on breast cancer screening and diagnosis including stereotactic core biopsy and sentinel lymph node biopsy.

The webcast will be hosted by accomplished Jefferson surgeons Anne L. Rosenberg, MD, and Steven E. Copit, MD. You will also have the opportunity to ask the physicians questions online during the 60-minute webcast.

Both professionals and the public may view the live webcast. Physicians may sign up to receive CME credits for viewing this webcast.
