A closer view of the surgical site can be obtained using an arthroscopic camera, allowing everyone in the room to visualize the procedure.

In this special set up the surgical team wears "space suits" to prevent contamination of the wound.

Preparation of the acetabulum is obtained using specially designed acetabular reamers (like cheese graters).
