Prevention and Education Programs
Our commitment to helping women lead healthier lives has been the driving force in creating an array of programs to educate
women on important health topics and to prevent health problems. Women's Health Source offers educational seminars and health
screenings designed to be responsive to the needs and interests of the women in our communities.
Health Education Seminars
Educational programs are scheduled throughout the year to address a variety of topics important to women, such as menopause,
stress management, parenting and nutrition management.
Health Screenings
Women's Health Source will make information available about upcoming screenings for early detection of diabetes, breast cancer,
skin cancer, and many other health risks.
Supportive Services
Support Groups
Sharing with other women who face circumstances or situations similar to yours is often the best way to get help. That's why
Women's Health Source offers referral to a wide variety of support groups that deal with issues such as living with cancer,
bereavement, hysterectomy, fibromyalgia and menopause.
Counseling
Referral to social workers and behavioral health professionals are available to assist women with specific, personal issues
or crisis situations. Programs include: Family Planning, Youth and Family Center and the Center for Addictive Diseases.

Women's Health Source has a dedicated site Jefferson Hospital. Stop in for a visit, or simply call, and you'll find a warm,
inviting place where you can comfortably and privately consult with a knowledgeable registered nurse. You'll get professional,
woman-to-woman answers to your questions or help finding whatever information you may need. Our nurse can also help you locate
and access the full range of women's services that exist at any of our facilities.
Resource Library
You'll find books, periodicals, videos and brochures full of information about health issues for women and their families.
